JONATHAN JONES AND DR. GENE KEATING JOIN ENGINEERING STAFF AT ENERGETICS TECHNOLOGY CENTER
La Plata, Md., November 3, 2009 – The Energetics Technology Center continues to develop its technical capabilities with two recent additions to staff: Jonathan Jones, Engineer and Dr. Gene Keating, Research Engineer.
“I am delighted to welcome both of these individuals to the Energetics Technology Center,” said Mr. Bob Kavetsky, Chief Executive Officer for the Energetics Technology Center. “As this organization continues its push towards national excellence in energetics, we have an increasing need for technical expertise and engineers.”
Mr. Jones joins the ETC as an Engineer, where his work primarily focuses on the use of mechanical graphics and AutoCAD. Prior to joining ETC, Mr. Jones was a Design Engineer in Bethesda. Mr. Jones earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering Technology from Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston, Massachusetts.
Dr. Keating is a Research Engineer for the Energetics Technology Center where he is responsible for technical assessment, as well as research and development. Dr. Keating earned his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Michigan, and a Ph.D. from Drexel University. He has been published over 77 times, including textbooks, journal articles, and reports. Dr. Keating is also an adjunct professor at the University of Maryland, Mechanical Engineering Department.
The Energetics Technology Center is a private, non-profit enterprise dedicated to growing science and technology in Southern Maryland. It focuses on workforce and economic development in the region and is a catalyst for energetics research and development. The Energetics Technology Center is currently based in La Plata, Maryland.
